The school has been founded in 1981 by Pietro Elia Maddalena. It offers Ceramic Courses and Pottery Workshops for all levels, Ceramic Residencies and Study Abroad Programmes at the university level. In providing a meeting ground of cultures and artists rich in Italian culture, the aim is to cultivate creativity in clay through a constant exchange of ideas, skills, philosophies and techniques.
